I’m a freelance writer living near San Francisco. My work has been in The New York Times, The Atlantic, NPR, The Washington Post, Ploughshares, Smithsonian, The Los Angeles Review of Books, Longreads, Poetry Foundation, and many others.

I’ve received awards and residencies from the Speculative Literature Foundation, Wildacres Residency Program, Cuttyhunk Island Writers’ Residency, Tin House Writers’ Workshop, and others.

I’ve completed two novels, Right Back Where We Started From and What Happened In The Woods, which are seeking publication.
