Other people passing by looked jealous… hellz yeah we’re cooking in the snow! (Joy has some evidence!) We were almost just going to turn around because we were pressed with time, but some cross-country skiers told us that Dewey Point was really just around the corner. Ok… we went the extra few yards. I do wish we had a little more time to be able to stroll up and down these 7.5 miles and not race the last 4. Live and learn... snowshoeing takes a lot more work than regular hiking. However my brain feels enriched and refreshed, full of beautiful images. Thanks for being a part of it, it was really fun! I had to turn off my brain sometimes so it wouldn't yell at me for hurting my body. However, the view from the point was spectacular. I think it was probably the best view I've seen. It makes me feel like a frontier woman. The trails are much more scenic and often times more daring than the novice ski trails because snow shoes are safer. Great Photos! Snow Shoeing IS fun.
