It's not an SLR- it's got a flip-out screen that stays on and a LOT of optical zoom (10X, plus digital on top). It's just gotten older. 8 megs. 2005 probably. My camera is lonely...and because it is older and more experienced, it could probably teach your "hot young thing" a little bit about how to keep things lively and exciting. Your camera is still young and innocent so it's shy and "shuts down" easily. Definitely needs more experience. If a Nikon and a Canon had a baby, what would you name it?
